Nico Kiefer
 
 

Nico (he/they) is an actor and theatre artist based in New York City. They hold a BFA in Acting from the University of California Santa Barbara, and an MFA in Acting from Columbia University.

Theatre credits include Othello (Classic Stage Company), The Picture of Dorian Gray (Onomatopoeia Theatre Company), You Can’t Play Barbies when Someone has Stolen their Heads (HB Studio Playwrights Residency), Le Bourgeois Avant Garde (La Mama), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Gorilla Rep) and more. Nico was also an actor/creator in Exposure by Laura Zlatos (Next in Line Productions), an original devised play inspired by the life and work of Francesca Woodman.

Film Credits include En el Séptimo Día directed by Jim McKay, which premiered at the 2018 BAM Film Fest; the upcoming HBO drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin; recurring roles on the independent series Skeleton Crew and Demon Doctor with Sidekick Productions; All Has Gone Wrong, directed by Jess Bettencourt; the upcoming comedy web series Mis(s)communication; an internet commercial for Biohazard Coffee, produced by Punching Up Productions, and various roles on Investigation Discovery.

Nico also works as a movement director and consultant for the stage. Recent credits for movement include Salty (Access Theatre) and You Can’t Play Barbies when Someone has Stolen their Heads (HB Studio Playwrights Residency). Nico’s expertise in stage movement includes conceptual movement, ensemble movement, mask, physical comedy, and unarmed stage combat/violence. He is also a teaching artist with Classic Stage Company and Columbia University.
